For my Final Major Project I have realised the animation "Rise of The Guardians". This 2012 animation by Dreamworks shows children the importance of believing. My aim when creating this set of costumes was to transport the audience back to their childhood and to bring to life the characters which are so important to so many childhoods. I researched the costumes, myths and tales behind five of the characters before I started upon the construction. Each character has their own background and so their costume must tell their individual story. 

I used Nakamichi's Pattern Magic book for the protruding downwards arch shape at the back of the Pitch's cloak. Pitch's costume has lots of gothic reference as his animated character was inspired by gothic architecture.
